If President Ibrahim Rugova were alive, incumbent President Hashim Thaci would not even be close to the processes that are related to Kosovo's declaration of independence.
This is the statement by political analyst Haki Abazi for Thaci and his political past in Kosovo.
Ahaz, in an interview for Periscope, has said that Thaci has emerged by chance at the start of the process of declaring independence. He suggests Thaci withdraws from all public positions and does not mix justice in investigations that you can freeze.
“What should I do, Mr. Thaci, I think, for the good and future of the country but also for its name, as one of the participants, which I say by chance is at the head of the process of declaring independence, very by chance that if Rugova were alive he would not even be near the processes. Perhaps someone else from his party, such as Mr. Bajram Rexhepi or others who were pragmatic in the agenda of statehood, but not Mr. Thaci himself, he stressed.
Abazi said Thaci's withdrawal would do the country honour himself and his political career.
But, anyway, since it was part of the declaration of independence, it would do a great deal to the country, to itself, to the political career, but to the history that literally leaves public office and let justice do its job and not come into a situation to get mixed up in any judicial process that might rise<1>, Abazi said. /Periscopi/
