Hahn: German-Turkish crisis undermines Ankara's interests

.
“I think Turkey should understand the cause of this situation and should be corrected”, Hahn told the media, which will participate tomorrow with the chief of European diplomacy, Federica Moghrini, at a meeting in Brussels with Turkish Foreign Affairs and European Affairs ministers, reports AFP.
This meeting, held within the framework of political dialogue between the two sides, will take place in the background of tensions between Ankara and Berlin.
Germany announced last week a reorient of its policy in front of Turkey following Istanbul's arrest of human rights supporters, including a German.
The German-Turkish crisis was marked in the context of the degradation of relations between Turkey and the EU over the recent constitutional reform of the Turkish president and the massive sentences committed in the country following the failed coup in July 2016.
“We should not forget the impact of such a debate on Turkey”, Hahn stressed today, while Germany has predicted austerity economic measures, including a review of guarantees, loans or aid given to Turkey.
