Growing fatality accidents, police appeal drivers for increased caution

Referring to Kosovo Police statistics concerning the number of accidents in road traffic, although one notes a decline in the number of accidents with material damage, the number of body and fatal injuries has marked increases compared to the six-month period last year (2016).

 Given that especially during these summer season months, we have the largest flow of vehicles, and people's circulation is more intense appeal to all traffic participants in particular drivers, so that they can be alert and comply with the rules that come out of traffic law; to maintain the speed that is determined with traffic signs, to avoid being driven to sleep, not to drive under the influence of alcohol, and not to use telephones from cars because with such actions are contributing to increased accidents and accidents.

Although police are not primarily aimed at punitive measures in traffic, it is determined that in addition to conscious activities, ongoing campaigns and appeals will also take strict legal action on all those participants/competers who endanger people's lives and create uncertainty in the streets of our country.

The Road Communications Division, with the aim of providing security in road traffic as well as raising attention for increased care for all participants in traffic, has drafted the “brochure EJA T I, NO LIAM TY” Police units across all of the country's roads as local, regional and highway are starting to distribute this leaflet for traffic participants.

The tract, which shows accident statistics from 2016, also contains orders for traffic participants who order for greater security and also for more careful actions during the street drive to avoid life loss. /Lajmi.net/
