The delay in Kosovo's constitutional and Assembly collection seems to be costing the country economically as well, thus suspending the budget review issue, which, according to incumbent Finance Minister Avdullah Hoti, leads to cuts and relocation of funds.
Because of delaying the budget review, we have to make a decision to cut and re-launch funds because part of the revenues have been in coming from the AKP. Change of AKP law is ready in Government, and since there is no Parliament, we cannot prosecute it. There are an estimated 88m euros expected to come from the AKP, which is linked to capital projects”, he said.
In office Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said he wants the Assembly to be constitutionalised as of tomorrow, saying it is better to prepare the budget because it is obligations that must be met by the end of this year.
“We have had a lot of trouble and demand for me made changes and contract fulfillments. No action we do outside the base contract, but it's the obligations that flow on the basis of executing the projects on the ground that if we don't fulfill them in time we'll pay the penalty, and the penalties will cost much more to this country than we can slightly wrinkle with some projects and create space to pay”, he said.
