Gashi has said Selimi's case is more complicated compared to Lushtaku's, since his client's case is in the Supreme Court and by extraordinary means.
The “would need to be known that for Sylejman Selimi, the situation is slightly more complicated, the case is in the Supreme Court and by extraordinary means”, he said.
The lawyer explains that complications in the trial against Sylejman Selimi have come after the case was held in the Supreme Court, but that court, as Gashi says, has acted in a second degree.
The “Rast was held at the Supreme Court of Kosovo last time, and this court acted as a second-instance court, and we await the release decision for it, which is probably a technical issue that has not yet been sent to us,” he said.
Gashi said that in the case he was placed second-degree because his client was released from the prosecution point, while the prosecutor later filed complaints and the Court of Appeals found him guilty, writes the paper.
Otherwise, Sylejman Selimi has been convicted of a criminal war crimes offence against the civilian population.
According to the indictment, Selimi in the quality of KLA member, in co-ordination with another member of the unknown KLA, “has violated the body integrity and health of an unidentified person from the village of Glanasella, detained at the detention center in Licoc, beating him while he was cleaning the floor of the prison”
