Fatality accidents increase in Kosovo within 15th month

During June alone, 15 fatal accidents have been recorded on the country's streets. Kosovo Police spokesman Daut Hoxha says the number of fatalally and injured accidents has increased this year.
The increase in accidents is also being observed at the Emergency Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.
Its director, Basri Lenyan, says it is evidently the largest number of patients with injuries from accidents from around Kosovo.
Lenyan calls on emergency medical staff, but even the community that shoots instead of the event to professionally provide first aid, adding that it is vital for the injured.
According to police, the main causes of accidents are high speed, use of mobile phone, various substances used while driving, slow - speed failure, and increased number of vehicles because of the summer season.
To prevent accidents, police have taken steps to increase patrols.
On regional roads and highways, according to police spokesman Daut Hoxha has already started implementing the operational plan for patrolling, as well as developing sensationalisation activities.
