The evacuation of residents and tourists has taken place in Cote d'Azur, where at least 1,000 firefighters are involved in extinguishing the fire and removing citizens from the danger zone, the AP reports.
The fire has burned the huge belt of Mediterranean forests as well as a large number of homes, barns, studios, and several vehicles.
