Turkey arrested Ali Avcin, the producer of a biographic film about the childhood of Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan, and his early political career.
Film “Reis” (Lider) has emerged this year, but has received negative criticism.
Turkish news agency Dogan said Avci is charged with links to religious cleric Fetullah Gulen.
Turkish authorities blame Gulen, who lives in US exile for orchestrating the coup effort in Turkey on 15 July last year.
Turkey is marking an anniversary of the failed stamp with at least 40,000 people arrested and more than 100,000 fired, on charges that they are linked to Gulen.
