Croatia will not be directly and particularly involved in the formation of the Kosovo Army, according to information from political circles in Zagreb. However, if the West gives Pristina the green light for transforming security forces into the military, Zagreb will offer assistance, above all, in training.
“Novosst” writes that Croatia will certainly not interfere with relations between Belgrade and Pristina, especially when it comes to security issues and will wait to see what happens next in the region.
“in principle, military co-operation is not excluded, but does not come to terms that Croatia, in any way, is prominent in this respect. Everything will be as before, so the Croatian Army will open the doors for training soldiers from Kosovo and from time to time will organise some exercises. Training Kosovo soldiers is financed by Croatia, a precondition is to know Croatian. There are discussions on purchasing Croatian military equipment, but more than that cannot be expected”, according to a well-formed Croatian military expert, broadcasts voice.info.
It is known that Croatian companies produce uniforms for existing security forces in Kosovo, and in this respect it can be a new business for Croatia. It is noteworthy that Croatia officially supports transforming Kosovo's security forces into the military, as recently confirmed by Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.
