Kosovo's presidency in a response to news.net has said the president will respect all legal and constitutional terms for establishing new institutions, when asked whether the president would call this meeting for the constitutional session.
“The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, will respect all legal and constitutional deadlines during the process of establishing new institutions, released by early elections on June 11th”, the Presidency Information Office's response to news.
Article 7 of the Assembly Rule point 1 says the Constituve meeting calls the president of the Republic of Kosovo within the 30-30) deadline from the day of the official election outcome.
However, the Assembly, according to the Kosovo Constitution, meets even if the president does not.
The president of the Republic of Kosovo calls the first session of the Assembly. If the president of the Republic of Kosovo is unable to call the first session, the Assembly meets without the participation of President” says Article 3 of this Constitutional article.
The results of the June 11th parliamentary elections have been certified by the CEC on July 8th.
