Samuel Perry of Oklahoma University examined pornographic customs and the religious beliefs of 2,279 Americans.

He found that many Christians, in particular, evangelistic Protestants said that pornography was always immoral, but they still watched pornographic films.

In groups of people with the highest church attendance, up to 25% of males still watched pornography.
