British RBS bank pays $5.5 billion in damages

The British bank Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has agreed to pay American regulator a fine of $5.5 billion ($4.8 billion) due to participation in the second-degree mortgage crisis more than a decade ago. “Ryal Bank of Scotland has reached agreement with the federal residential financing agency (FHFA)”, [...]

In accordance with agreement, FHFA charges will be rejected RBS, broadcast AFP.
