Over 150 thousand euros are annual revenues from the Kosovo prom test, which is almost always held in May of the current year. While the payment of 5 euros to each senior is considered reasonable, it is required that students who cannot afford to be released from this obligation.
The senior test in Kosovo, each year, is subject to about 30 thousand seniors who, in order to have the right to submit to that assessment, are initially obliged to pay the 5 euro payment.
Division Leader for Rating and Monitoring in Ministry of EducationMustaf Kadriu, has told Kosovo Preress that compared to the cost of keeping the senior exam, the amount imposed on students remains symbolic but with great weight. For that, he lists several reasons.
With tools collected from the prom exam, Kadriu said that even test managers who are not charged with work contracts are paid. While stressing that the fee for a manager's work that day is up to 30 euros.
That the prom exam is a complex process, the head of the Monitoring Division, Mustaf Kadriu, said it is also very expensive. According to him, the first item for this activity is much.
If we take a comparison with the Balkan countries, according to Kadriut, Kosovo has minimal amount, as it said, circumstances and overall conditions in the country are taken into account. According to him, Albania at the maturity of 2017 has paid some 15-16 euros, while 40 euros has been seized in Turkey.
As for cases of complaints concerning the set price in Kosovo, he stressed that there have been no complaints either from parents or from students.
In this regard, education-related connoisseur Dukagjin Pupovci even considers payment reasonable while saying that the categories of students who are unable to pay should be set free from this financial obligation.
Otherwise, state maturity has been under way since 2005 in several areas of high school, while 2006 is beginning to apply in all schools. The prom test is organised in two parts, while students at the moment of paying earn the right to submit both parts. /Kosovo pres/
