Arab League charges Israel “you play fire”

The general secretary of the Arab League today accused Israel of setting fire to “by presenting new security measures at the entrance of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
“Al-Qods is a red line. No Arab or Muslim will agree to tarnish sacred sites”, Ahmed Aboul Gheit claimed in a statement. The Panarab organisation's secretary-general at Cairo also denounced “the Israeli government's opportunist decisions” that seek to foster a serious crisis with the Arab and Muslim world.
For a week, physical confrontations are daily between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protesters, denouncing Israel's installation of metal detectors at the entry points on the Temple Mountain, the third holy site of Islam.
