Eurostat's comparison data seems to confirm that. Albania, one of Europe's lowest income countries, ranks as the country, where its residents spend more on bread and cereals in relation to their incomes.
According to billboards published by the European Statistics Institute (Euristat), nominal expenses for bread and cereal, as a percentage of the Bruto (GDP) domestic production was 4.9%, the highest in Europe.
The second state behind us is Montenegro, with 3.9% of GDP as expenses for bread and grain, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina at 3.3% and Macedonia with 2.9%. /opinion
