Prof. Dr. Wilfried Fiedler (born 1933 in Oberfhohna, Chemniz) is the most famous and most important albanologist in German-speaking and continuing space of Gustav Meyer's tradition, Norbert Jokl and Maximyliaan Lambert.
On a trip to the Balkans, he also stopped in communist Albania, where a vicious regime by Enver Hoxha had already been established for more than 10 years.
