If the Kosovo government fails to complete the expropriation of eight houses in the village of Shippitula, it risks energy collapse for weeks, Koha Ditore writes today.
This, since KEK has been using coal reserves for several months and has not mined since it has reached the border where private property begins.
Due to the emergency situation, KEK has proposed expropriating 17 owners' assets located near KEK's excavators in the villages of Hade and Shipil.
The prime minister, Isa Mustafa, has stressed the importance of this decision, noting that any delay risks halting KEK's work.
