Six Afghan girls, who were initially not given access to the United States to participate in a robot contest, have won medals at this international event.
Afghanistan's team has taken the silver medal for “, achieved bold” at this event, which ended last night.
The American authorities had initially refused that students from several countries with majority Muslim populations, who participated in the international race, were allowed access to the municipal satellites because of the implementation of the president's administration's visa policies, Donald Trump.
At Mr. Trump's request, however, American officials allowed the six Afghan girls from the western part of Afghanistan to enter the United States to participate in the First Global Challenge race.
This Afghan team introduced a robot that had the ability to recognize the blue and orange colors and to classify the balls in their respective locations.
The gold medal in the main race belonged to the team from Europe, Poland won the silver medal, while Armenia was third and won the bronze medal.
