The absence of translators from Swedish rescinds the assassination scheme (Video)

The absence of translators from Swedish has prompted the initial hearing in the murder and wound trial to be put off again.

Although the court during today's hearing had engaged English translators, accused Hamza Abazaj said he does not understand this language.

Five days earlier, the initial session was interrupted because the accused Abazaj complained that he did not understand the Albanian language as he grew up in Sweden, so he sought translators of Swedish or English.

On Thursday, he said he didn't understand English either.

Hamza Abazaj is charged with a murder committed in Pec in February of this year.

The act towards him and Yusuf Abazaj has risen this month.

Judge Sali Berisha said they have sought translators from the Swedish Embassy in Kosovo, but said they have received answers that a translator cannot be provided.

Meanwhile, a translator licensed by the Swedish language contracted by the court did not come because of situations abroad.

Muharrem Hoti, the defendant's lawyer, said his client knows English but cannot understand legal terms.

I personally don't know English at all, but I don't know how much it has to know that language in terms the court uses”, Hoti said.

Prosecutor Sahid Gashi rejected the postponement of the trial after the last session had declared to be familiar with the English language.

It has been known worldwide since Sweden, and all these countries, along with Swedish, are also taught English. So I was showing concern that it is the very effort to prolongation and delay this session”, she said.

Pressing the session, Judge Berisha decided that the next session would be held on 26 September. He said the court will take care of an interpreter of Swedish.

The other accused's lawyer, Yusuf Abazaj, Gezim Kolcak, said his illegal client is being held in custody. According to him, the prosecution has filed the indictment against his client without making any investigation and respecting the legal provisions.
