The failure of the election of Kadri Veselin chairman of the Assembly at the August 3rd session could create a blocking situation in the Parliament, the Parliament's work monitors say.
To avoid such situations in the future, they ask the deputies of the new legislature to send for review to the Constitutional Court, the 2014 verdict, KTV reports.
Albert Krasniqi from KDI, says that change of constitution should be initiated first and then MPs will send for review the Constitutional Court's act.
Krasniqi says it is urgent to reconsider this act.
While, Isuf Zeynep from “Democracy Plus”, says the Constitutional Court's acts can be reviewed by the Constitutional Court.
He estimates that the Constitutional Court has left many gaps in the mayor's election.
In the 2014 Constitutional Act, the right to propose the candidate for Parliament's chairman belongs to the coalition or the party that has come first in the election.
