Friday was the day he had decided to leave the house and go, to register as the new deputy in the Kosovo Assembly.
But not like all other deputies. He lacks freedom and must undergo special procedures to get to the lobby of the Assembly, where he will have his new job by deputy.
This is the new deputy of Vetevendosje Movement Frasher Krasniqi, who, although from domestic arrest, does not lack enthusiasm that the MP's seat will require justice for him and his friends.
And as he moves through the Kosovo Assembly, he enjoys his partial freedom, walking for a few hours or minutes freely through the city. As you enjoy the sun's rays for a while, you look at the surrounding cafes and the square of the city, as if there was a change that he may not have seen, since he spends most of his time among the four walls.
I haven't been out in town in a long time because of the house arrest measure. The same is true of three other activists Adea Batusha, Father and Arifi and Egzon Haliti, who are still under arrest with me. Normally it won't be that easy in view of all the procedures required to ask for a repeated permit for each session. I think this is a continuation of an injustice that is being done to activists of the Vetevendosje Movement now one year, which is being held without any fault in the measure of house arrest. Normally, it's not the hard part, because I'm still going out to come to the sessions whenever they give me permission. The hardest part remains for Adean, Homeland and Egzon. Especially for Homeland who's in jail. And Adea and Egzon are under house arrest. Therefore, I will use the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, never stop seeking justice for our case, and especially justice in the case of the death of Astrit Dehar, our friend and activist”, Krasniqi told Kosovas.
Although he lacks the freedom he once had, he did not lack the votes of citizens who wanted him to represent in the Kosovo Assembly. And he saith, He feeleth good because by their voices the people believe not in the bondings and the falsehoods which have been made unto them.
For me, the fact that citizens of the Republic of Kosovo have initially voted Vetevendosje movement massively, then voted me as deputy from domestic arrest, shows that the people of Kosovo have decided not to trust the assembly and the lies they made to Protocuta through the courts that they have captured. So the citizens of Kosovo have decided to believe the truth, which has been told by the Movement for a long time and especially the truth about our innocence, in relation to the case we are accused of. So I think that's a legitimacy of what we've said so far. And on the other hand is a slap on the detained courts that have mounted and continue to assemble cases against VV” movement activists, Krasniqi said.
Speaking of the great joy of winning VV in recent elections, he says it has been difficult not to enjoy this joy very closely, along with other activists, the subject they have been working on for a long time. However, it claims that it has not dimmed at all the satisfaction they experienced over his party's victory.
It's been really hard not to be part of the subject you've been working for a very long time. It hasn't been difficult just for me. It has been difficult for three other activists, who are under house arrest. But the main thing is that the VV movement has won, has doubled the number of votes. The first subject in Kosovo has emerged, and this far exceeds the dissatisfaction of our participation in the holiday. Because it has been a pleasure, even though we could participate”, Krasniqi said.
Although the Court has given him permission to leave his home from 9: 00 a.m. until 3: 00 p.m., he could not even taste a coffee in his hometown, where he once moved freely. After he has been granted permission to go from house to place and vice versa. He says once he completes the registration procedures, he'll continue on his way to his apartment and he can't stop for a moment at any other location, or have a cup of coffee with his friends. And this lack of its free movement, it seemed to him the similar situation Kosovo citizens are in, who have been isolated for a long time. But he hopes that one day, this unjust process that he and his companions are undergoing will come to an end.
I don't have a right. I'm just entitled to go from place to place... I think actually this is, normally, not exactly the same, but this is pretty much the state of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. It's total isolation, it's total inconsistencies, it's a lack of prosperity, lack of hope, and I think that from this situation, even my situation, which is a symptom of such an unfair situation. Normally it's hard to walk through town, and don't get me to stop, don't have to go with it. But I think that even this unfair process, it's soon to end. And those who have mounted against VV Movement activists have to be held accountable, in addition to historical, political and criminal and criminal,”, he said.
And as he returns and continues his life between the walls of his home, he says that the measure of house arrest against him and his companions has no meaning and that this must end.
Frasher Krasniqi is among the 32 elected deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement in the June 11th parliamentary elections. He is accused of attacking the Kosovo Assembly in August last year. The prosecution also accuses Ar and Arifi, Egzon Haliti, and Adea Batusha. While the other accused Astrit Dehari has died under circumstances still unexplained on November 5th of last year.
