To help the Canadian state in fire operations, Australia has sent 50 firefighters, Public Security Minister Ralph Goodale said today.
Minister Goodale has announced that the government of British Columbia, Canada's western province, has sent the federal government two requests for military assistance to combat the fires, which are continuing to deteriorate.
