In 2003, when the last census of Presevo's population was made, the municipality counted 13 thousand and 426. According to earlier data, Presevo had increased population over the years, but this trend has already changed.
For Presevo citizens, the biggest concern is that this country will one day be emptied. And they consider unemployment to be the cause of this.
Displacements are also being observed in the students ' numbers. Assistant director at the school “albrahim Kelmendi”, Lulzim Mehmeti, confirms this. According to him, the cause of this situation is poor governance and unemployment.
Such a situation of migration is being conveyed to other municipalities in the Valley, as in Bujanoc and Medvedja, where Albanians are already minorities.
