President Thaci: We must agree on the past, not fight for it (Video)

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, during a discussion at the meeting of the Preparation Team for Truth and Compliance, has said that this initiative has been taken to reconcile the past and not to fight for the past.

However, he acknowledges that his initiative is very complex and with many questions, but the goal has been clear.

The “have spent nearly two decades of war, and in Kosovo, you almost see no trace of war. But the wounds have remained, which are often a barrier to the future. That's why I founded the Council for Reconcilation”, President Thaci said.

“What we're aiming for is a reconciliation for the past rather than fighting for the past”, the president has added further.
