Two people injured by fire in Pristina

By the fire that has fallen into a flat in downtown Pristina today, two people have been injured.

Following the announcement of fire at the scene have been police and firemen who have arrived from the flames of two residents.

In addition, police evacuated residents found in the building while firefighters have turned off the fire so as not to infiltrate nearby dwellings.

The event occurred on “Hydar Dushi” around 1500 while injured persons were sent to QK treatment.

Police and firemen have also complained that locally parked cars and heavy communication have caused delays to arrive at the scene in time.

Xhazen Xhafa from Kosovo Police said badly parked cars have caused delay as he said the residents' situation is good, while fire triggers are still unknown.

Regarding the causes of the fire, Xhafa has said that the expert has emerged and will continue all investigations at the order of the prosecutor.

Fire service chief Bajram Rexhepi has also indicated in the case.

He said there's always trouble because of badly parked cars, and that's what happened today.

For us, the salvation of human lives, we have managed to save two people, one person has been in a apartment where fire and the other in another apartment that has been poisoned by smoke. We were initially instructed in another entrance and we had no opportunity to go out and we were forced to use another way to get to residence”, Rexhepi said.
