Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli spoke of current developments in the country, about the 100-day government of Haradinaj, about what Kosovo's foreign policy is under its rule, about the possibility of recognising Kosovo by several major African states, demarcation of the border with Montenegro and current developments.
Pacolli claims there were many meetings with internationals.
We have compiled a report for this time. We have to work on accelerated steps. We've undertaken some reforms involving staff, with the responsibility of each, I can say that we have a professional staff, well-equipped”, Pacolli told RTK.
He claims they're working on what diplomats who are now abroad don't stay more than 4-6 years there, because according to him, their interest in the country from which they come could probably drop the intensity of his work and create a break.
Pacolli confirmed that he personally received the verbal grade of recognising Kosovo's independence from Madagascar to Paris, where the Francophony conference was held, and that this recognition disappointed Serbia's top diplomat, Ivica Dacic.
“I am very grateful to Madagascar for the silence that was broken when he after a long courtship, quit the verbal note for recognising Kosovo's independence, and at the very time when Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dachic, during the Francophony conference in Paris, warned that many countries would attract recognitions for Kosovo. We are working with several major African states to recognize us, even though Serbia is working hard on preventing recognitions from Kosovo”.
According to him, offers from Serbia for non-recognition of Kosovo are increasing and that they offer many benefits for countries that do not recognise Kosovo.
