Judge Becir Kaluldra, in the quality of the court's chairman in the case of former 9 inspectors in Pristina, pronounced a 500-euro fine to lawyer Ramiz Krasniqi, who advocates accused Ismet Haliti.
The fine decision was handed down to the lawyer following the court's remarks that all complaints concerning the way the court's leadership is conducted in the respective organs.
Lawyer Ramiz Krasniqi had remarks on the juro during questioning of accused Blerim Ibishi, claiming that the court panel “is violating the prosecution principle” of the criminal procedure.
The trial body has no right to defend the indictment, when even the prosecutor of the case has no questions for the accused”, lawyer Ramiz Krasniqi said, in his remarks. However, Judge Caluldra responded by saying that the court is obligated to prove the actual situation and that it is.
Lawyer Krasniqi voiced concern, saying this situation would go to the expense of his defence.
But Judge Kaluldra responded by saying that he assures all accused that no behavior will affect them and that in many cases <x0 juries protect the rights of the accused better than their own defence lawyers”.
The trial hearing against the former Pristina municipality inspectors is continuing and the accused is being heard.
