Petritsch, in an interview for Deutsche Welle, has made an analysis of the situation in the Balkans and, among other things, talked about how he sees the current situation in Kosovo.
Kosovo is deeply divided. It is a weak state near collapse compared to Serbia that has developed economically, but also in other areas”.
The official party needs to establish ties with the Serb community. The agreement on the formation of Serbian municipalities was signed years ago. This agreement must be implemented. This is Pristina's” obligation.
Austrian politician has also spoken of final reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia. He says the European Union now has a historic opportunity to move forward in this direction because of current circumstances.
