Kosovo Journalists' Association (AGK) today has launched the report “The public money spent on the media (2016)”, where statistical financial data about spending public money on public information was released.
During the conference, AGK clarified the methodology and work that was done during the research process as well as the problems that have emerged in this process. The total amount of funds spent on public information from the country's institutions is 812,130,36 EUR. This sum includes all forms of payments made to the media either by central or municipal institutions.
The report also brings six recommendations that would help clear and transparent reflections in spending public funds on different categories of public information, including different categories such as publishing and reporting, advertising, media services, broadcasts of sessions, subsidies and grants depending on the relevant institution.
You may receive an electronic report by contacting A GK or even visiting the AGK site, which will be launched in a few days.
