11m euros for two sets of elections, drastic change of political map

The PDK, led by Kadri Veselin, who was part of the ruling coalition with the LDK, collaborated with opposition parties AAK, Initiative and Vetevendosje, to overthrow the government led by Isa Mustafa.

The election year continued with the October 22nd local elections and the November 19th runoff in 19 municipalities.

In parliamentary elections, coalition winner emerged PDK-AAK-Nisma, following the pre-election coalition that had arrived, dubbed by the opposition parties as the “darkness co-ordination”.

In these elections, this coalition managed to get 33.07 per cent of the vote.

Alone in the race, the Vetevendosje Movement marked the biggest increase by doubling votes.

Of 13 per cent as much as she had won in 2014, the party led by her candidate for prime minister, Albin Kurti, has won about 27 per cent of the vote.

While, the pre-election coalition, the Democratic League of Kosovo, the New Kosovo Alliance, along with the alternative, received 25.53 per cent of the vote, ranking third in early parliamentary elections.

Despite gathering a large number of parties around themselves, the wartime arm failed to make the government without Pacolli's help.

The coalition agreement for the new government was signed with the AKR leader at his luxurious villa in Hevali.

The signing of this coalition, Behgjet Pacolli's AKR managed to get many shares in the government led by Ramush Haradinaj.

The year of elections for Kosovo continued with those locals, October 22nd, which also brought interesting developments.

Citizens by their vote decided that half the municipalities were sent to the runoff. While in municipalities that were won without a run-off, the biggest winner was released the Serbian List with 9 municipalities. In Albanian parties without a run-off, mostly the LDK and AAK won.

Once the first party, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has lost this epithet.

Losing even the Scytheright municipality that had the bass, The PDK marked a major decline, until the government's large municipalities only with Ferizaj.

Two parties of elections plus the run-off in over half of Kosovo were considered a heavy burden on the state budget.

Keeping the general elections on June 11th has cost the state budget 4m and 944 thousand and 900 euros.

For the October 22nd local elections, 6.1m euros have been earmarked from the state budget.

In all, two parties of elections have cost the state budget about 11m euros.
