American President Donald Trump, in a series of tweeting posts on Sunday, has written that having positive reports with Russia, is a good “ “and that Moscow could help a lot of “to solve crises in Ukraine, North Korea and Syria, and also in the fight against global terrorism.
While staying on Sunday in Hanoj, Vietnam, within his tour of Asia, at a news conference, he has restored sanctions against Russia, saying Moscow is under “very serious sanctions” and that “is the time to return to world recovery, which is shattered and broken”.
The United States has imposed sanctions against Russia for the alleged involvement in last year's American presidential elections.
But President Trump stressed that Russia's President Vladimir Putin, “ins that he has not intervened in our” elections.
“I believe President Putin really feels and he feels strongly that he is not involved in our elections”, President Donald Trump said, during the joint press conference in Hanoj, with Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang.
In response to President Trump's comments about the Russian involvement in the election, US Senate member Ben Cardin, who is one of Russia's most harsh critics, has issued a statement stressing that “the rejection of facts is disturbing”.
Vice President Trump trusts the former KGB agent with 17 US intelligence agencies. This is shocking”, said Democrat Ben Cardin, member of the US Senate Foreign Reporting Committee.
Republican Senator John McCain, also, often fiercely critical of the president, has issued a statement saying that “has nothing to do with America first, when the words of the KGB colonel are taken over those of the American intelligence community”.
Regarding the issue of Russia's involvement in American elections, Trump stressed that he trusts the United States intelligence agencies with the assessment that Russia was involved in the election.
In this regard, he stressed:
I am with our agencies, especially until they are currently complete with leadership. I believe in our intelligence agencies. I worked with them very powerful”, Trump said in Hanoj.
He stressed that what he said earlier was that he believed Putin was sincere in his refusal to vote, not that he, Donald Trump, definitely believes what Putin says.
“What he believes is what he believes”, Trump said.
Also, Washington has joined other Western states in imposing sanctions against Moscow due to its aggression in Ukraine.
Trump has no further explained his comments about sanctions against Russia or specifically about the possibility of their relief.
In his comments on the Twitter network, the US president has attacked “all haters and fools”, who have criticised his bid for better ties with Russia and especially with Putin.
When all these haters and fools realize that having good relations with Russia is good, not bad”, Trump has written.
It always has a policy role and this is bad for our country. I want to settle matters for North Korea, Syria; Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can help a lot”, Trump stressed.
In another tweeting post, Mr. Trump stated that his rival in the 2016 elections, Hillary Clinton, “has been urging Russia to become a friend of ion”, when she was Secretary of State, while the former president, Barack Obama, had also tried to improve reports with Moscow, but “had had zero reports with Putin”.
