Russia's and US president reaffirmed their commitment to Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
They called on conflict parties to participate in the Geneva political process and reiterated the need to destroy Daesh, according to a joint statement issued after the meeting they had had had at the APECCE summit.
According to the joint statement on Syria, the <x0 presidents agreed to maintain existing military communication channels to ensure the safety of the American and Russian armed forces, as well as to prevent dangerous incidents involving Allied forces fighting against the Daesh-x1> terror group, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.

The two leaders have agreed that “has no military solution for the conflict in Syria and confirmed that the final political solution to the conflict must be melted through the Geneva process under the UN Security Council Resolution 2254 of the UN Security Council”.
