Serbia's Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, told reporters yesterday that there have been some “concerns in ties with Ukraine, and for that reason he had talked to Serbia's ambassador, the AFP agency reports.
That call from the ambassador took place after Ukraine invited its ambassador to Belgrade on Wednesday for talks in Kiev.
Consultations at Kiev were focused on the “problem of Serbian mercenaries fighting as part of Russian terrorist troops”, in the region covered by war, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's English-language statement said earlier this week.
In this statement, Ukraine's side refers to Serbia's “obligations within international legal instruments against terrorism”.
