On this day in 1996, Serbian General Ratko Mladic, against whom the International war crimes tribunal filed charges on July 25th 1995, had been fired from the position of Serbian Army General Staff Commander in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mladic had held this position from May 12th of 1992, while a recording audio was shown on social networks, where there is a secret conversation between him and Slobodan Milosevic
In this conversation it can be heard how Milosevic assured Mladic that he would by no means extradite him to The Hague Tribunal.
“I want to say that for no reason would I allow someone to extradite to The Hague Tribunal, as it would be the greatest national disgrace to our people”, Milosevic is heard telling General Mladic.
It's foolish to think you can't come here, for fear someone can arrest and hand over to The Hague Tribunal”, Milosevic added.
What he had ordered and what his attitude towards Karadzic is heard audio recording.
