Pristina University has decided for a short time to start proceedings to indict the Orthodox Church on land ownership, which is located in the campus of this university, although it lost trial in the first indictment it had filed against the Church of Sveti Nikolovski.

The Court of Appeals in Pristina weeks ago decided to undermine the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina, which it had seen as withdrawing the UP's indictment regarding the four hectares where the unfinished Orthodox Church is located.

According to the court's ruling, the reason why the indictment was considered withdrawn because MP representatives were not submitted to the session where the context on earth should be considered.

Esat Kelmendi, Secretary of the UP, told KALLXO.com that the university would not back down from the demand for land that he claims belongs to this institution.

The UPP's “Legal Office is preparing the file with all relevant evidence to bring up the indictment from the start, which will be prosecuted at the competent court by the end of this week or early next week. We believe that the competent Kosovo justice authorities will judge this issue so that this illegally usurped property is turned into exploitation UP's and its students”, Kelmendi said.

He also considered that the Court of Pristina has made an unfair decision when it has considered the initial indictment withdrawn.

The Court's “Accruing is unfair, because it has not been given to the reasonableness of the UPP representative's inability to participate in the first session of the Constitutional Court, which is usually the preparation session, in which the court has concluded that the UPP has dropped the” indictment, Kelmendi claims.

The context of the land where the unfinished church is located has started for a long time, the intercade built at the time of Slobodan Milosevic's regime has been the centre of student reactions.

Kelmendi also said that the UP continues to consider the building of the religious object inside campus unacceptable.

“The UPI will never give up the right to seek to annul the discrimination decisions issued by the Serb regime at the time of Kosovo's occupation, and on the right to return to exploit its illegally usurped property by this regime by building objects without religious permission within its 34x1> campus, Kelmendi said.
