Ratko Mladic's son, sentenced to life in prison, has said today's decision by The Hague Tribunal has not been easy to hear.
Darko Mladic, for Serbian television “Prva”, has said the decision has been expected, because both the charges and the verdict were written long ago.
“We have not accepted the decision. You have seen the extent of the court's prejudice, refuse to recognise Serb victims. This approach has been continuous, it has not been expected at the end of the term that this court will say anything else. This is all about the political approach of the tribunal”, Darko Mladic said, broadcasting Time.net
He added that, after making the decision, he and his mother visited Ratko Mladic, who, as he says, had high blood pressure while <x0baba consoled mother”.“We went to see because there was high blood pressure. He comforted his mother and told her not to worry. He said he'd fight until he's alive. This is about judging a nation”, he added. Although The Hague's chief judge, Serge Brammertz, has said that this is not a judgment on a nation, Darko disagrees with him.
We remember that today, The Hague Tribunal sentenced Bosnian Serb General Ratko Mladic to life in prison on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity.
