Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka has visited the Trepca Company today, where he said they are on track to fix most of the problems facing Trepca workers.
He after this visit wrote on Facebook that the next visit was scheduled to take place at the end of this month to monitor the progress of promises on either side.
On this morning, as part of the promise to fix Trepca's problems, I was visiting this company where I met the executive and union. It was a very good meeting and I believe we are on our way to fix most of the problems Trepca's workers face. The next visit was scheduled to take place at the end of this month to monitor the progress of promises from each side”, it wrote on Facebook.
Luka has written that she has informed them that the Government of Kosovo, under the Trepca Law sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development, has made the announcement of positions for supervisors of the monitoring board, which is the first concrete step towards activating this economic giant.
On this board, out of nine open positions, 2 will be represented by Trepca workers! The Ministry of Economic Development is taking all necessary steps to pave the way for the development of this company, so I appreciate that the launch of the process for the selection of the Trepca Board will precede other concrete steps that M has preceded ZHE as the draft of the Statut and the company's census as Trepca SHA”, he said.
