Assistant Secretary-General NATO for Public Diplomacy Takan Ildem said a stable Balkans is a stable Europe.
He stressed that good neighbourly relations are not luxury but preconditions for integration, saying NATO works with all in it to preserve security in the Western Balkans.
Ildem said NATO places great importance on Kosovo's dialogue with Serbia, until it has added that the most powerful military organisation it represents does not ignore threats of any kind.
Takan Ildem made these statements during the international conference “NATO and the Western Balkans regional dynamics in the period of global security challenges”, which is being held today in Pristina.
