Girls and women at UP are being sexually conditioned by professors, the student relates concrete examples

A student at the University of Pristina is deeply concerned with sexual conditions that some professors give students (girls and women) in exchange for grades and passing exams.

Liridon Mehmeti, a student at the Faculty of Buildership and Architecture, has confessed to Periscope as well as concrete examples of such actions by professors.

The phenomenon of sexual conditioning in the UPI has become especially popular in recent years, while measures against the professors involved are rare to say that they are never undertaken.

While the victims of professors, who are most often female, do not complain about the injustices caused by various cultural stereotypes and the sluggish functioning of the justice system.

Student Mehmet says that there are different ways in which professors condition women sexually. According to him, some of them have sexmen among the students who negotiate for them.

There are different roads that serve to contact professors. It doesn't take much effort to figure out how the structure within the schools works for such jobs. Some professors have assigned sex students in various generations, which convey the message of professors to students, so they allow this illegal activity to function more easily and for direct contact to be eliminated. Other Professors “are more direct, manage to exploit students without sex help, proposing in various forms of bids, that if they are to act on their demands then they will easily pass through tests”, he says.

Mehmeti for Periscope says things are more difficult when students should undergo exams, but he says that even during lectures among some professors there are absurd behaviours towards students.

“Until there are major problems at Pristina University, such as: the huge number of students, the failure to lecture and consult, the necessary literature, the lack of learning spaces, and even the lack of Internet in the halls, we still have to deal with sexual abuses, we need to discuss why some professors don't give student grade, if they don't get “something” in exchange for it. Words of speech, in some cases, are extremely absurd, but things are even more difficult, when students have to undergo exams or consultations during the academic year and after exams in cabinets, which is only with the professor in his office, here the criteria set in the exams for passing exams don't apply to me, they are replaced with instant or pre-planned sexual wishes of professors”, he continues.

Mehmet is not reluctant to mention even concrete cases. He has not mentioned his name, he tells of a professor of the Jurydical faculty who, during a telephone conversation with a student, openly says that his exam is past him because he has admitted the “to come out with him, but to pass additional professors' exams, he has to go out again.

The same professor, he says, asks the student to be in better physical shape, telling her not to throw up her stomach as a friend.

It's familiar with me when a professor legalizing at the Juryd Faculty, during the phone conversation, tells his student “Provatory to me, and you agreed to go out with me, so that you want to take your exams with other professors you need to go back to”, and the same professor asks the other student to cost more importance to the outside by saying <x3mos> to leave his stomach with his friend, that he doesn't like it, because he doesn't want to, because he's going to, because he doesn't like him.

Another case he brings as dialogue between a professor of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences and a student is even more scandalous.

Professor: Well, which is going to pass the exam, you need to get me to take care of them at our apartment or our”, says Mehmet, who says he's thoroughly informed of such cases, but he is reluctant to say the names of the professors.

According to Mehmet, there are many different cases of underestimating girls and women within the university.

Unfortunately, this does not arouse public attention, perhaps we are used to seeing a woman with advance and flour in the kitchen, and then embroidering and then treating her as such, in subjection, without the only vision as sexual object at all times”, says Mehmeti, who requires more attention to this phenomenon within educational institutions.

Mehmeti says authorities should take immediate measures against sexually conditioning professors, while guilty of the situation he makes UP's management.

It is obvious that academic authorities are reluctant to take on the protection of girls who subject themselves to such abuses. This protection would be achieved with careful coverage of such cases and with the immediate expulsion from the university of professors, against whom suspicion of misuse of office. This situation, as a result of the silence and neglect of successive UPI management, should not be allowed to continue. It is very important that students feel free within all the academic units of the University of Pristina, because if the disrespect of girls and women is tolerated at the main institution of education in our country, then it will be tolerated everywhere”, he concludes. /Periscopi/
