Two Vetevendosje Movement candidates in this municipality -- Shefek Kastrati and Blerim Murina -- have received the same number of votes in the October 22nd elections, out of 195 votes each. But after the official results, only Shefek Kastrati has managed to gain seat at the Kamenica Municipal Assembly.
A CEC decision, which has secured the callo.com, issued on the 8th of this month, says the asamblist seat wins the candidate who is ranked highest on the certificate list.
“If candidates within a political subject have equal number of votes, then the mandate will win the highest-ranked candidate, based on the certificate list”, says at point 2 of this decision.
The elected Asembrist, Shefek Kastrati, on the electoral list of candidates for municipal assembly from the Vetevendosje ranks had had had had been listed as ninth.
In the 19 November run-off, residents of Kamenica will choose between Vetevendosje Kastrat and LDK's Schip Surdul.
