On the second day of the run-off campaign, Vetevendosje candidate Shpend Ahmeti at a media conference has unveiled his programme for capital investments, which he said are already budgeted.
He said on that occasion that Pristina municipality for 2018 has 70m euros in budgets, where less than half are for capital investments.
And according to him, investments conducted last mandate on basic issues such as water, Thermokos and others have already paved the way for new capital investments.
In the next mandate, Ahmeti said he would fix the problem of large collectors who total over 6m euros, where then only the key to the channeling will remain so that these will go to the Pristina border with Fushe Kosovo, where the sewage factory will be built.
The first “the first one that I want to mention is the channeling and building of the two main collectors that we have left, and it's in Matt 1 district that we have covered a river that serves as a sewer, and the collector in Calabria, by which we're implementing that project because it's started, it's done expropriation, and it's going to end approximately in 2018... These are two capital projects, which total the amounts of nearly 3m euros each”, he stressed.
Ahmeti has also promised a concert hall in Pristina Square on Tuesday, where he said the best option for its deployment is the transfer of ATK and the use of that facility for this hall, with which it would be in line with the National Theatre.
He did not fail to mention the “Adem Jashari” square and the recreative spaces for which he said are well planned and that the budget has been shared for them.
I've said 1m euros a year for parks and resorting spaces. We've already signed the contract for the Jashari Square for floor sancing, which will be completely changed in 2018 and greenery will grow. The steps of the Dragadan that are currently ahead of the contract signing, which will now be linked from Dragadan to KLA Street, space to the old part of the city where we are now building the city's new market. And we also have capital investments of different platforms on the Sun Coast, in Dardani, sports field at the Trimese Framework, where all of these have their own cost and are now budgeted... 400 thousand euros earmarked for the city gallery, while we have the Concentric Hall” as priority, he said.
At the end of his speech, some citizens gathered about Ahmeti, who expressed their support for him as head of Pristina.
