Ahmeti made it known that the European Commission is ready for investment in this facility, which is exploited by citizens, reports Online Economy.
We've taken over the renovation of this hall and the end of the Olympic pool behind this palace. Two weeks ago, the government has asked the Kosovo Privatisation Agency to initiate procedures. We discussed with the European Commission. They're willing to start renewing this hall. We even say today that the moment we get ownership, this hall will be new and we will make the right investments”, the Pristina municipality's chairmanial candidate said.
In addition to promised investments, Ahmeti said sports clubs would lift the financial burden.
We'll make sure they have room to exercise, take off their financial burdens. The EC has proposed a project that, due to the failure to pass, has gone to other municipalities, could be a 5m-euro project. The European Commission is very interested in renewing the facility with the municipality. We as a municipality have the opportunity to take over all obligations, Youth Palace, can't pay for this lawsuit. We'll pay all debts and renew this hall. We have moments after almost losing some locals, because of the accounts, but we haven't allowed it, nor will we allow it, Ahmet said.
Ahmeti in the November 19th election will be in the race with the candidate from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Arba Abush.
