Xhemajlaj: Drenassis is nobody's best bastion, PDK disappointed them

Xhemajlaj in an interview for Kosova Prees, says he has decided to run, seeing the serious situation in this municipality.

I think after October 23rd I'll be mayor of the Drenas municipality. The reason I decided to run for mayor of the municipality was the chagrin of Drenas' economic development. The total focus of the economy, or the introduction of the hands of several clans through the Drenas economy. Chaos, in education, in health. The lack of infrastructure, especially of basics, such as drinking water, sanitation. All of this has created difficulties, not just for my children, but for all of those who live in Drenas, and I have absolutely decided to make a difference in Drenas and that the main ideas, for Drenas' development, come from citizens, from residents, and not make decisions often at the expense of citizens. These are some of the reasons”, he said.

He says he's aware of the challenges ahead, but he wants Drenas to shape a developing city.

He says the current president and those forebodings have not had the right approach to solving the problems of Drenasi residents, but he added that the resulting comfort of the mayors of this municipality has not only ruined him, but also the citizens of this municipality, who are already conscious and do not want the party, which has done anything for them over these years.

Xhemajlaj says that with his coming to the top of this municipality, he will change the situation and that he will bring investment to the municipality he will lead, as the current chairman has done otherwise and that he has brought no investment to Drenas.

Xhemajlaj also promises that within four years of his mandate, there will be no village that will have no water supply, and no village will remain without channeling. He says residents of Drenas on October 22nd will vote on the Initiative for Kosovo.

According to him, these residents are disappointed with the PDK, which they have been trusting for 17 years.

And because they don't owe anybody, they trusted them. The PDK for 17 years in a row, and now are so disappointed that they will vote on the Initiative for Kosovo and their candidate. It won't be hard at all, because residents have decided this way” said Xhemajlaj.

Isa Xhemajlaj has been Ramiz Ladrovci's counterCandidate in the extraordinary elections held last year in this municipality.

Xhemjaljaj is missing in the second round across from Ladrovci.
