President Shpend Ahmeti has pledged that since the first meeting of the Municipal Assembly in the second term, shareholders and Public Company Parking Pristina will be appointed, who will then select the company board.
Now that the Mobile Plan has been completed, the company's work will be much easier and efficient. Since January 2018, this company will be operational, which in addition to maintaining itself, will bring additional inflow to the Pristina municipality.
In co-operation with the University of Pristina, the ID project will be completed, marking every public parking lot in the Pristina municipality according to the areas. The city will be divided into several areas: The area I, which will be the centre, area II important neighbourhoods that are not in the centre, and Zone III, which is considered a suburb of Pristina. In every parking area, public parking lot will be paid, but neighborhood residents will also have preferences at the price during the length of their stay in public parking lots. The payments will be either monthly or via mobile operator.
With the implementation of areas and restrictions on the time of visitors to the neighborhood, the situation in most neighborhoods is expected to be adjusted. However, in the neighbourhoods where there is a large influx, the Pristina municipality in co-operation with residents will see the possibility of limiting the parking lot for visitors, but will be managed by Pristina Parking.
The static parks owned by the Pristina municipality will be the continuing priority of the Pristina municipality in the following mandate. The vast underground parking lot at the Philological Faculty was completed as a project proposal. Early in 2018, it will come out as an announcement, and the work will begin in the same year. This parking lot will have at least 500 parking lots.
Next year, the Pristina municipality will draft regulations for private parking lots by specifying where parking lots, tariff policies and other conditions can be opened.
All parking lots in public property managed by private companies or different associations will be passed into the management of the Pristina municipality or Pristina Parking. /
