Prosecutor Begins Investigation into Milaim Zeka for Visa Fraud

The prosecution has launched investigations into Kosovo's Kosovo Initiative MP, Milaim Zeka, concerning criminal participation or organisation of the criminal group for fraud and tax evasion.

Days ago in the media, it was reported that MP Zeka along with a businessman allegedly deceived 920 Kosovo citizens with employment visas in Germany.

Based on a media investigation, Zeka, together with businessman Ilir Krasniqi, has owned an agency for employing Kosovo citizens in Germany. The company has been operating for over a year.

During this period, Milaim Zeka and Ilir Krasniqi through their company have deceived 920 Kosovo citizens. They have been seized from various amounts of money of 50, up to 3,500 euros.

Regarding the case in question, the “Bota today” contacted the Prosecutor, with what cases it has shown that they are conducting investigations against MP Zeka.

Prosecutor's spokesman, Ekrem Lutfiu, has said that Zeka is investigated for involvement or organisation of the criminal group with criminal acts of fraud and avoidance of taxes.

Lutfiu added that because of the investigation, you can't provide any more information.

“announced that against defendants Milaim Zeka, investigations are under way in the direction of the criminal offense or organisation of the criminal group organised by Article 283 paragraph 1 related to criminal acts of neni 335 paragraph 5 related to KPRK paragraph 1, and avoids taxing by Article 313 paragraph 3 concerning KPRK paragraph 1. Because of the investigation I can't give any more information”, the prosecutor's attorney stated.

MP Zeka has denied the accusations, saying these are mere slander.
