The precondition for reconciliation in the Balkans, Kosovo Interstate recognition Serbia

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has participated in the opening of the RYCO office in Pristina today, along with Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Kujtim Gashi, as well as the ambassadors of Germany, Austria and Great Britain.

Hoxhaj has expressed happiness in opening this office, saying that at last young people are taking the role that belongs to them in the process of reconciliation and regional co-operation.

However, Hoxhaj has said there can be no inter-social reconciliation if the state, which has been a source of conflict, does not change the agenda that has caused that conflict. He has stressed that the basic precondition for reconciliation in the Balkans is interstate recognition of Kosovo Serbia.

RYCO's office in Kosovo opened today. A real pleasure to see Kosovo's youth, along with the young people of the countries of the region, already take their place in regional co-operation and reconciliation in the Western Balkans. The Kosovo government will support RYCO's office in Pristina and the central office in Tirana at every step, in the function of a safe walk towards European integration for the Western Balkans, but the fundamental precondition for reconciliation in the Balkans is inter-state recognition of Kosovo Serbia”, Hoxhaj has written on the Facebook account.
