The Civic Initiative “Two-bit-one thousand” from Skenderaj has reacted, as noted in response, to an election campaign dezifform that has distributed the Democratic Party of Kosovo in this municipality.
According to “Two thousand” , The PDK has spread a lie that citizens cannot vote the candidate for the mayor of the Skyright municipality, Bekim Jashari if none of PDK candidates for the Municipal Assembly are voted in advance, writes Periscopi.
“During the election campaign for the Municipal Elections in the Scivalw municipality has spread a disinformation from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, that citizens cannot vote for the candidate for Mayor Bekim Jashar, unless PDK candidate for the Municipal Assembly votes. We inform citizens that this is a lie, and a big fraud through which the citizens are trying to reverse their will, and to belittle them, as in past national elections where they claimed that “the citizens were unable to vote”, is said in response.
According to the initiative, the reason why the political subject in question makes this disinformation is that it wants to regain the ground lost through the name Bekim Jashar and the Jashari family, which allows the continuation of the old avaz.
This approach seriously harms democracy and enables the next president to return the normal situation to our community. We call on the subject in question to carry out his duty correctly and not disinform the citizens for the way they vote, because in this form they deviate the will of the citizens”, it is further said.
The initiative has also explained the right way to vote.
Make it perfectly clear: There are two different ballot papers and that citizens are free to vote on any political subject and a KANDIDAT on the ballot of the Municipal Assembly elections, as well as on Thursday. We invite the candidate to the mayor, Mr. President. Bekim Jashari, who makes it clear to the citizens that he is independent of any political subject, and to distance himself from these kinds of dezinforms that can cloud his personal image and the Jashari” family, it is said to continue.
“Two thousand” invites the CEC, the Skenderaj Municipal Election Commission, to work harder, for better information of voters, about the way they vote.
“We also invite the media and NGOs to play their role by reporting such cases, because in this form they contribute to democracy and the real outcome of civic will”, it says in the end. /Periscopi/
