Pacolli and Dacic together at a conference, here are words for Kosovo

During the plenary session of the Visegrad Group, attended by the chiefs of diplomacy of Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, plus the 6 Western Balkan countries, and those of Romania, Croatia, Estonia and Bulgaria as the next president of the European Union, received the word and Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli. He, U [...]
He was introduced as the youngest acting minister by his Hungarian counterpart, who congratulated him for success in the new post.
After thanks for Hungary, as an organization and unconditional supporter of the enlargement process, Mr. Pacolli said:
„We are a new state, built from the top, with the help of the European Union and our friends across the Atlantic, and since 2008 when we declared independence, we have adopted a 100% European legislation, a model constitution for the treatment of minorities, in the language plan and rights in general. We have taken many steps towards European and international integration, with the help of our European friends. “
Referring to Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, who complained about why in Serbia's integration process, Pristina's <x0nd) judgment should be considered on progress in this process“, Mr. Pacolli said:
We are two neighbouring states, and that is an undeniable fact. Kosovo today is a sovereign state with its laws, with its constitution, protecting minorities, their languages, their fundamental rights... You in your address referred to the book „Ura of the Drini“of Ivo Andric. I've read it a few times.
We must build the bridge between Serbia and Kosovo in the service of our new generation, and Kosovo is committed to it, but we cannot create obstacles to each other, nor can we deny the facts. We in Kosovo live very well among us without creating problems with minorities, although we are people and we can face specific issues. We should put aside any provocation and build the future as independent states in the region, where we have excellent examples of co-operation with Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro. We have excellent relations with Montenegro, despite the issue created with demarcation.
Demarketing is not a problem between us, nor should it be a European problem. It must be cleared as a condition for visa liberalisation. You know Georgia and Ukraine have issues with borders, but they have been recognised visa liberalisation. It's hard to tell our young people that they're 100% pro-European why these countries have visa liberalisation and we don't.
We must not allow them to think that Kosovo is Europe's black hole and must remain isolated: every day for a citizen is becoming more and more difficult to obtain visas, to move normally, and that's not normal. It's not correct. Kosovo must be relieved of this condition, the visa problem must be resolved. Kosovo will do anything to make this happen. Kosovo will do whatever is possible in this direction to have a peace agreement with Serbia“.
Commenting on the word of Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli, counterpart and summit host PeterSzijarto, said: „Us as Hungary will work to speed up the integration process, without conditions related to bilateral relations“.
