On Tuesday, the government has authorised the company “Patton Boggs” to represent Kosovo in Arbitraz with the investment fund Axos Capital.
Government chief Ramush Haradinaj has not concealed the fact that Kosovo could again lose several million more from arbitrage decisions.
However, the government has not made public the amount it will pay this company. This is the third time the government has given money to this case.
On August 25th of last year, he had distributed $350,000 (U.S.). And on December 21st, if last year, the government led by Isa Mustafa allocated 150,000 euros on behalf of professional expertise in the case.
Axos Capital had been announced winning the tender for the purchase of a 75% stake worth 277m euros. The latter had immediately encountered problems in securing the above-mentioned means, demanding that the amount of payment fall to 100m euros, which had been rejected by the then government.
Rather than sue Kosovo's government for violating the contract, it is the headquarters investment fund in Hamburg that sent Kosovo to arbitration, demanding millions of euros in compensation.
Except for “Patton Boggs”, the government also engaged Raiffeisen Company in the process.
The final decision on this issue has been warned that it will be made during December.
