PDK Parliamentary Group chief Memli Krasniqi has been addressing VV Chief Glauk Konjufca in a show, saying PDK voters will no longer support Shpend Ahmeti for Pristina chairman.
Even though citizens are free to decide which candidate they want to vote on, Krasniqi, viewing them as the absolute property of the PDK, said PDK voters would no longer vote on Shpend Ahmeti, “since they were sufficiently demonised by the Vetevendosje (Pristina) movement and that this is the party's decision, Periscopi writes.
According to Krasniqi, The PDK supported the VV in the 2013 elections, when Ahmeti had gone to the runoff with Isa Mustaf, bringing him down from the Pristina chairman's seat. Even on TV, Dukaagjini, he said the PDK had made a political decision to support Shpend Ahmeti.
“The PDK had taken the decision to support Shpend Ahmeti to bring down Isa Mustafen”, Krasniqi said.
But, president of PDK at the time, Hashim Thaci, now Kosovo President, had said that for The PDK has no particular significance as to who would win that election.
“Hoxha Alija, Ali Hoxha”, had said Thaci, answering journalists' questions.
Krasniqi has expressed confidence that the PDK is the party to decide which of the candidates Ahmeti and Abrashi will be the head of Pristina, despite his party marking the largest contraction in this municipality. /Periscopi/
